AIEEE counselling 2007

 

AIEEE counselling finished. Obviously IIIT-Hs seats were filled on the first day of counselling.

 

Well!! Opening and closing rank for

CSE – 256-1705

CSD– 1378- 2636

ECE – 650-1855

ECD – 1884- 2273

 

Some interesting facts to note:-

- 60/210 from AP i.e. 28.57%, last year it was 37.14%.

- Both opening and closing rank of CSE, from Rajasthan.

- Next to AP is RJ with 48 students opting for IIIT-H and then its MP with(28).

- Opening and Closing rank this year 256-2636 n it was 82-1971 last year.

 

 

Came across two popular topics of Discussion among the students …

 

1^st… Students opting for IIIT-H from AP had a drastic fall within last 3-4 year. If I m not wrong in our batch the ratio of AP:ROI (rest of India) was bout 1:1 now it has dropped to 2:7.

 

Reason:-

Compulsory accommodation, even for the localites (yes I herd it).

No more rumors in the market .

(Actual)

Increase in the awareness bout IIIT-H, in North India.

Drop in the no. of rankers from AP.

 

 

2^nd… fall in opening and closing rank of IIIT-H.

 

Reason:-

Students opted for other colleges over IIIT-H, coz those colleges got better rank in some shit survey.

 

Hefty fee structure

 

Private, and don’t have Indian in its name (yes I heard this one too)

Possible reason could be the increase in the seats of IIT. It has been increased from 4078 to 4600 this year coz of the reservation thing.

 

 

 

PS:- Classes begins from tomorrow .

PS:—- Bappe n chauhan came for 1 day … just to deposite fee. (save 500Rs fine by spending 1200 on tickets, cleaver !!)
